Welcome! I’m Hannah Elzig, and I’m a grant writer for changemakers.

What I Do
Grant writing is a form of storytelling that expands your impact in your community by persuasively sharing your passion. As a grant writer, my role is to:
✨ Assess grant capacity
✨Support organizational development to advance grant readiness
✨Conduct grant research
✨Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and Letters of Intent (LOI)
✨Manage the grant application process
Why it’s Important
There are SO many reasons to work with a freelance grant writer, like myself. To list a few:
✨ My expertise and experience lead to more funding
✨Your time and energy are focused on fulfilling your mission and vision
✨You are empowered by the financial flexibility to hire me for the long term or short term, based on your budget
✨ Our professional relationship is mutually beneficial - as a business owner, I’m accountable to you and your organization
To say it simply: I’m here to make your work of changing the world easier.
Fees
My intention is for my services to be accessible and inclusive, while also supporting my financial wellbeing as a business owner. As an act of solidarity toward collective liberation, I offer a reparative pricing structure. This is an anti-racist action to address systematic oppression and to support organizations led by BIPOC changemakers and community members.
I offer hourly-rate, fixed-rate, and retainer services - whatever is best for you and your organization’s budget.
My services do not guarantee funding. Because of this, payment for my services is not contingent upon the outcome.
Impact
I redistribute my income, on a monthly basis, to community organizations and mutual aid funds. Previous donations include:
I also get my hands dirty with The Tilth Alliance by volunteering at their various community garden locations.
Client Testimonials
“I have been working with Hannah as a grant writer for about six months. She is very responsive, and has done a great job at keeping track of and meeting deadlines, even when it can be challenging due to my hectic schedule. We started this year by establishing an aggressive grant plan and schedule, and Hannah has risen to the occasion. She has been successful at winning a handful of our grant projects, and we are still waiting to hear responses from others. She put strong applications out there and I am very satisfied with her efforts regardless of the outcomes. Overall, I have found Hannah to be an incredible asset to my organization and our grant writing initiative, and I don’t hesitate to recommend her.”
